Her name is Nica Faye Fisch

July 09, 09, 4:57 am, after a 9 hours labor, she was on my chest. She had clean skin, only tiny bit of blood on the side of her legs, a little bit of after birth on her hair, and she smelled wonderful. The smell of a newborn. She opened her eyes, the midwives covered her with a warm towel. I rubbed her, and try to keep her warm. After a few minutes, she was already searching for my breasts. I unbutton my robe and let her smell me. The pain was immediately forgotten. I asked to check if she is really a girl, you never know. And YES she is!! So I whispered her name into her little tiny ears, “your name is Nica Faye Fisch.”
