Click to view slideshow.She is amazing, absolutely adorable. She is speaking so much, in three languages. I can’t keep up anymore but put down some really funny stuff she says. She would say stuff at the perfect moment: “Kingmassig!”, “unglaubliccch!”, (those are of course from Nils) but she just picks it up and all the sudden say such phrases. She loves Tinker Bell überalles. She is crazy for her movie, the song I made up for her (Tinkerbell might come tonight..if you close your eyes…) She is at time difficult, but yes she is just being a kid. She is so big now, 93cm, 11.3 kg. Still a fine little fee. She is so sweet, sometimes, she wakes up and tells me she loves me, in chinese. She would tell me she misses me when I was gone(sometimes not).

Nils got a new job as photo editor at Tages Woche. I am soooo super proud of him. He is doing a great job and everyone loves him there. It’s the perfect job for him. He can still work on his own work and work 2 or 3 days a week there. That helps a lot for us. I also started a new job at Gregory. I am happy for that too. But my photography is definitely taking off!! I am shooting twice a month on average. That’s great start! I would like to shoot once a week. That would be great! That’s my goal to have four shootings a month in 2012!

G9 and John are getting married next Friday!! Nica will be the ring girl! Oh! Her dress, we need a dress rehearsal! Promise myself to update blog more often!!!!!!

Wow, the little bun is 27 months!! You are absolutely amazing. You amaze me everyday being the beautiful, sweet, smart, clever, cheeky, generous, cuddly, wonderful, creative the tiny thing that you are.
You learn so fast, all songs, names go on like butter. You can already speak in sentenes, mixing chinese with a dash of English in her swiss german. You are so crazy for Peter Pan and Mary Poppins in the moment. Asking at all opportunities to watch on the phone or computer. You are a very polite little girl, you ask “Darf ich bitte auch …. ha?”, Danke, bitte, thank you,

Your favorite songs are “I love you forever”, “Ninanana”, “Schlof kindli scholof”

The funny highlights of all that happens everyday:
Dododile, chimchompfee, dorilla, merepoppins, leaving out all “sch”,
so metteling, the two second tooth brushing then out come the brush with “Vertiggg”, the “pirate” and “private”, you are also gaining respect for animals after the “freche Hund” and “böse Ente” incidents. You are a bit scared when we were in Zooli or the Nature Museum. Mama has been bad, I have been telling you stories about itsy bitsy spider..how it can smells your mouth if you don’t brush your teeth. Also the flies are coming too. I am a bit mean, I hope you don’t have a phobia when you are reading this. But it’s the only way I could get you to open your little mouth.
Oh! You are singing so beautifully, counting in D,E,CN, you are so keen to learn to sing ABC.
You are practically diaper trained. Only wearing when we are out or sleeping.

You have such a strong character, that sometime, mama and papa has to be hard to you. Very stubborn and you just know what you want and you do everything to get it. It’s a good trait, I hope you keep that. To keep going after what you want and never give up.

Such a smart little girl. We are so proud of you!! You are such a sweetie pie, such a naughty little angel.

OMG!! I can’t believe it, I have been slacking in updating our family blog…skipped 3 months of recording Nica’s development!! I have to admit, I have been a bit lazy, a bit busy and overwhelmed by the speed of her development. She is absolutely amazing, still amazes me everyday by how fast she learns. We were in China for 4 weeks, in those 4 weeks, she must’ve learn over 50 words in chinese. Nica was a super star in China, everyone was enchanted by her open ways, she greets people, actually everyone, she says “Hello!” and wave she little hand. She flirts with all the Go Gos, people literally were crowding up around her to have a look at this little sweet “mix blood” baby. Oooing and ahhing over her long lashes and big eyes. We were of course very proud of her. She tried many many food, which even surprised my mom. My biggest surprise was that she liked baby pig feet and chicken feet. She saw me eating it and had to try it too, even after me telling her that it’s spicy. She really enjoyed it. She loved teppanyaki, ate a mango almost everyday, I could make her do so many things with mango:) she loved litchi, Longan, watermelon of course. She was a bit scare of the ranbutan at first because of the hair, but then she tried it and loved it too. My mom was really proud of her as well because she can eat by herself and almost toilet trained and amazed at the amount of poo she makes…Nica never made it once in her pants in China, she would hold it until she gets home.

She can say so much, now, so much that I can’t keep track, we can just teach her anything now and she can repeat it.

Chinese words: go go(big brother), dee dee (little brother), big sister, little sister, uncle, po po, gung gung, chai, mango, litchi….etc..

It was so funny the other day, when Nils burped, she said “wohl sein!” we had to laugh so hard. She says “pe zo” for pretzel, indele (windele), do anle(here), blip blop (flip flop), lid gloss(lip gloss), asser (wasser), achtung, auto, nammli (tramli), zooli, ohhhhh and lots of words which are her own invention: mamalina, papalina, chipalina(chips), everything she wants really much, she adds “lina”. It’s soooo funny, as if she has got latin in her blood, could it be from my name?

OH and Nica sings, “Ho le du li”, “Hoppa hoppa Reiter”, “This little piggy”, “Rain Rain go away”

Lately she also has developed a fear: flies. She is absolutely terrified of flies. Since we have got so many around this time of the year, in desperation, we started to use this fear against (meany parents:P) I hope Nica, when you read this when you are older, you would only laugh and I truly hope that you are not tramatized by us. I told her that, flies love dirty things, so if she is dirty after eating, if her mouth is stinky when she doesn’t brush her teeth, or when she doesn’t want to wash her hair(she hates it) the flies will come. I know it’s mean, but it’s true isn’t it? hahaa…hey, it works like a charm. Fear factors work. Even on a terrible twos child. I hate to use that against her, but it is so hard to deal with her in the moment. She has otherwise no fear. AND she can be sooooo difficult!!! She bullies other children, she takes toys aways from them, she doesn’t want to return them if they lend her. I know that she has to learn and maybe it’s soon time to send her to a daycare where she can learn how to play with other children.

So this is the last two week of being 1s! Little one, you are a wonderful little girl, you can make mamalina and papaplina so happy!! You will come to our bed in the night, and snuggle next to us, you say good morning in English, German and Chinese when you wake up, (most of the time) You love to help cooking, you love your mamita and papita, Ina, Ongenli(Eugen), Jilinjilin, Marlon, Marlon(Melvin), PoPo, Au gung (Grand uncle). You love your family and I really hope that you still stay that way when you are all grown up. I hope that you will stay at our sides, because I will miss you terribly. But you can also make us pull our hairs out. Anyhow, we love you soooooo much!!! So much that you can never imagine until you have your own children.

Nica is 20 months

Oh my oh my, the little girl is cute, but she can drives her mom up the wall man!! She said “oh man” too….she is definitely at the terrible two stage…sigh….takes so much nerves to be with her sometimes. Especially today, I was really at my ends wit. The latest is that she figured out how to open her door!! Yes!! She just won’t stay in bed, at naps, at night time…at 4 am in the morning…horrible. I am so tired…sooooo fed up sometimes. But then she is so cute and sweet at the same time. She started singing “nina nana”, the song that Ina made up. She can getting more steady when she goes down the stairs. She got 12 teeth. She starts to resist sitting in her high chair. Terrible twos….

She loves fasnacht, she loves the music and the sweets of course.

New words this month: bitte, please, in chinese as well, head, knees, toes, eyes, ears, nose, 2, S, strawberry in chinese, plum, apple, orange in chinese, schöggi, … i am losing track of what can she say now because she learns so FAST!!

She can put on her rainboots! She put on her chinese new year jacket backward, but she did it!! She can unzipped herself from her pajamas, can climb the stair(DANGEROUS), she fell the other day and bumped her eyebrow. Now she is green and yellow, like wearing eye shadow. She loves her grandma…

One and a half years old!! Nica started saying her name in chinese!! But when we show her her own picture, she would say “Du”.

This month’s vocab development:

In Chinese : Book, Socks, Faye Faye, Pear, Pat Pat(Bum)

In English: Baby, Bye bye, Lala, Tiga(tiger), Bear Bear, noodle, Bum Bum

In German: Bitta(Bitte), Namli(tramli), Zoo,

She understands so much more than she speaks. Especially with animal names.

She points to facial features. She can blow bubbles. She got sick yesterday, fever and a cold and cough. Poor baby even puked while coughing. She gives kisses and loves to say Nein….:)

We love you our little princess…

Nica is 17 months!!

This girl is babbling away like a little bird. She sings, she says so many things in all three languages: Anou, Ina, Adi, Doudou, Nella, Nil, Lulu, Guy, shoes in chinese and english, Dung(lamp), barbaletta, Mina(cat), yu yu(fish), Nu Nu(Nuggi), tea, po po, baba(baby).

She would go sit on the potty by herself and do her business. She would kiss us in the morning or when she is in the mood, lean on us when we got hurt, tell us to dress her baby. She helps to tidy up and put things in the garbage. She doesn’t cry long when I leave her at the Lola playgroup. She LOVES swimming!! We got a pass for the whole season. She would squeal with joy when she sees just the gate to the swimming pool. She jumps into the water, she absolutely loves water. A real water baby.

Soon is Christmas!!Getta make a christmas card!!

Nica is 16 months old!

Nica is developing to such a lively, lovely little girl. At 16 months, her new words of the month are: tea, Ina, ahhh for donkey, mozzorella(a version of it), nana for nuggi,shoes in Chinese,bubble,poo poo, she says ieeee when she thinks something is gross. She is eating with utensil, sleeping in a big girl bed after she climbed and fell out of her crib. She loves cooking and nutella bread. She can put up a fight and screams really loud. She is brave, couragous. Her hightlight of the month is riding the pony(almost 10 times) at the Herbstmesse. She absolutely adores ponies. Firsts: loilipop, ponyrides,pigtails,headband,stomach flu.

Nica is 15 months old!!

WOW WOW WOW! The little one is 15 months old!!
She is talking so much!! In baby language, she says lots of things:
mami, papi, mamita, papita(Colette always wanted be call mamita!) nana for banana, nai nai for nuggi, chai chai for ciao ciao, nein nein nein, and she makes lots of animal sounds, pig, lion roar, clicking sound for horse, meow, duck, cow, dog, she imitates fish opening and closing mouth.
A couragous girl she is, going on the big slide with no fear, when she falls, she doesn’t cry even if she bleeds. She can put up a fight even if the opponent pulls her hair, although she started pulling my hair from the experience. She also has a hot temper, would screams and lay on the floor.
But she is a super sweetie, she gives kisses, blows kisses and likes to lean on us.
AND FINALLY!! She is sleeping throught the night!!! Sometimes even sleeps until 8 or 9 with waking at 6 30!!
We are totally amazing and charmed by this girl of ours.
OH she LOVES her cousin Eugen, she kisses his picture! So sweet. We are so in love with you Nica! I think you will grow up to be a lovely little girl.
